Atelier + Design is a luxury furniture, fine art, and interior design atelier representing Tier 1 and Tier 2 Global brands. The showroom merges editorial presentation with the precision of an architectural studio, offering clients a curated experience that blends art, furniture, lighting, and materials within a modern refined environment.

As a member of Architectural Digest PRO, Atelier + Design operates at the highest level of professional and aesthetic excellence. This is the first Tier 1 editorial showroom on the Gulf Coast, designed to serve as both a gallery and design atelier. The environment is highly curated, visually exacting, and collaborative. Every detail reflects the same level of refinement expected from the world’s leading European design houses.
Overview
We are seeking a Showroom Sales and Design Associate with proven experience in the luxury sector. The ideal candidate understands high end interiors, lives design, and thrives in structured and visually refined settings. This person is both creative and disciplined, comfortable leading client interactions, and fluent in tools such as AutoCAD or SketchUp to guide selections through material, layout, and finish.
This is not a retail role. It is a design facing sales position within a high performance showroom that operates at the Architectural Digest level, where standards, aesthetics, and precision define every interaction.
Compensation Overview
Total Expected Annual Compensation at Base Goal: $71,000
Base Salary: $20 per hour ($41,600 annual)
Commission and Bonuses:
• 2 percent on confirmed furniture and fine art product sales (approximately $21,600 annually at goal)
• 2 percent on confirmed exclusive product orders (approximately $4,800 annually at goal)
• $500 bonus per confirmed kitchen product sale (approximately six per year = $3,000 annually)

There is no cap on earnings. Commission increases directly with sales performance and confirmed client payments.

Probationary Period:
All new hires begin with a 90 day training period. Commissions begin after probation unless the associate demonstrates full independence by day 60, in which case commissions may begin early at management discretion.

Paid Time Off:
One week of paid time off in the first year, beginning after the probationary period.
​
Payment Schedule:
Base salary is paid on the 1st of each month.
Commissions are paid monthly once client payments are fully received and verified. A brief review period allows time to confirm orders, process returns, and verify any damages or client financing before commission is released.

Benefits & Reviews:
Quarterly performance reviews, brand training, and travel opportunities for continued education and exhibitions.
Performance and Success Expectations
• Average weekly goal of $30,000 in combined furniture and fine art sales earning a 2 percent commission
• Twelve exclusive orders per year earning a 2 percent commission
• Six confirmed kitchen sales per year earning a $500 bonus per kitchen
• Missing the monthly sales goal three times within a twelve month period will result in termination
• Quarterly performance reviews with advancement opportunities based on results
Qualifications
• Three to five years of experience in luxury furniture, interior design, or fine art sales
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or SketchUp with the ability to create scaled layouts and visuals
• Proven ability to manage multi vendor orders and maintain accurate project documentation
• Demonstrated success in luxury sales and client relationship management
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting, and order tracking
• Confidence and ease when working with developers, architects, designers, and private clients in elite residential and hospitality environments
Core Responsibilities
• Present and specify Atelier + Design’s curated collection of European furniture, lighting, and fine art
• Prepare layouts and presentations using AutoCAD or SketchUp to visualize selections
• Conduct luxury outreach to developers, condominium projects, private estates, architects, and interior designers
• Build and maintain relationships in high end environments with confidence and professionalism
• Manage showroom projects, vendor communication, and delivery tracking
• Host client appointments, private previews, and trade events
• Maintain showroom standards that are visually exacting and on brand
• Uphold discretion and confidentiality for clients, pricing, and partnerships
• Represent Atelier + Design’s values and aesthetic in every interaction

• Genuine passion for European design, fine art, and architecture
• Willingness to travel globally for brand training, exhibitions, and continued education
Portfolio Requirement
Submit either design work or proven track record of luxury retail experience that demonstrates understanding of scale, clientele, and partnership standards. Examples include work with Ritz Carlton, Rosewood, or comparable luxury clients.
Interview Expectations
• Come prepared and familiar with Atelier + Design, know who we are and what we do.
• Be on time and present yourself at your best.
• Anticipate three to five rounds of interviews, including showroom discussions and leadership meetings.
• Candidates who demonstrate both refined presentation and strong technical or sales proficiency will advance.
• The first round of interviews will be selected in November to prepare for the January and February 2026 hiring timeline.
